She Leads Justice’s Legal Education Program works to guarantee equal access to legal, educational and social service systems. To do so, She Leads Justice draws on a combination of strategies, including Information & Referral, Advocacy and Community Education.

Information and Referral

Information and Referral (I & R) is a unique service that provides information on family matters, equal education for women and girls, workplace issues and discrimination. She Leads Justice’s I & R staff help clients navigate the systems involved in these cases by explaining the law in easy to understand terms. She Leads Justice supplements this basic information service by providing referrals to attorneys and other service providers. Advocacy

She Leads Justice provides advocacy services when individuals encounter barriers to independently resolving their legal issues. She Leads Justice’s goal is to work with the client to remove any barriers and provide them with information and resources to navigate the rest of the process independently. No other agency provides this combination of legal education and advocacy and at no cost!

Community Education

In addition to helping individuals navigate legal and social service systems through the I&R service, She Leads Justice also provides know-your-rights workshops on topics such as family law (divorce, custody, child support and restraining orders) and employment discrimination (sexual harassment in the workplace, pregnancy discrimination, and FMLA).
